When
we remember our Bliss, we spontaneously transform our own lives,
and in so doing our world becomes a better place. Following are a
few “Bliss Stories” from individuals, who in whatever
way they did it, they remembered Bliss, and have forwarded their
inspiring and uplifting stories.
Bliss is Peace at Heart
Like so many of us, I’ve spent most of my life striving for
the approval of others, trying to please and be good enough. I was
in a coaching class five years ago, and we were doing an exercise
on values and I learned the concept of “Peace of Heart” for
the first time. As soon as I heard that phrase, I knew it was what
I had been yearning for all these years - -- not peace of mind, but
Peace of Heart.
From that point forward, every time I have significant
decisions to make, I use Peace of Heart as my touchstone. Will
the choice I
make bring me close to Peace of Heart or will peace of heart feel
farther away as a result? With this as my core value or guiding principle,
I find it easier to make tough decisions, easier to speak my truth
compassionately, and easier to say “no” when I mean
it.
This is my definition of Bliss. Fewer regrets,
fewer obligations I didn’t want, and a stronger sense of
self respect and contentment.”

Home in Bliss
“Bliss is like the oil that makes all of
the parts in me move in a smooth, precise expression. Bliss: where
my Self is flowing
through all my connections to other beings, to someone else or to
the earth, the air, the water, the object that I am engaged with,
a plant, a paintbrush or at times the vacuum cleaner, or just sitting,
being, doing nothing. Bliss for me is the knowing that I AM at home
in myself, awake, awake, conscious, and alive!!

The Vibration of Bliss
Music: melody,. rhythm, the vibratory language
of bliss. Music can speak to my soul in amazing ways, the key that
unlocks floodgates
of joy, the simplicity of Self remembrance. I have particularly noticed
this during chanting. There have been times when “me” falls
away, as if some mysterious hand has let go of the string that holds
the balloon. I’m released. I am free-floating in the unbounded
expanse of sky.
The chant is somewhere going on, chanting me. “I” am
expanded, free, timeless, vibrating joy, ecstatic bliss. The words
are being automatically sung, but the momentum propelling them is
not my own creation. I am doing nothing. I am floating in the waves
of the ocean of pulsating consciousness, resting in the embrace of
the Divine--within, without, all-pervading. Homecoming.

Passing Into Bliss
“Two days before my 92 year old mother, Lenora, passed away
recently, my husband Stuart and I were at her bedside. We were playing
beautiful angelic music, and Stuart was softly chanting. I was talking
to her about all the great lessons she had taught me, converting
the tales of negativity into lessons, gifts and blessings. “Thank
you for the second-hand tap shoes, otherwise, I would not have been
in that dance class. I was good at tap dancing, and you always walked
me to class and watched me practice, I am grateful.” Thank
you for etc., etc . . . There was a moment of pause, she opened her
eyes, and raised her frail hands towards the ceiling and said, “GOD” in
a most serene and loving voice.
A calm filled the room. The space opened up and
the energy shifted into BLESSED BLISS. She closed her eyes, sighed
and relaxed. Two
days later she passed into the arms of the Beloved. Stuart and I
both felt the calm, and we were at peace with her passing. The air
was filled with the scent of roses, and the room was divinely calm.”
